GDERNET's Advanced Networking services

GDERNET Computer Network is based upon the GuangDong PTA's intelligent leased line services (GDDDN) network. The GDERNET backbone currently use 512 Kbit/s leased line, some main sites will upgrade to 2Mbit/s system.

GDERNET is managed by GDERNET Network Center which is located in South China University of Technology.

With all the universities' efforts, more and more network services have grow up:

All Networking services can also be found in "Network Services Box". GDERNET also support Advanced Networking technology research projects : Interactive Multimedia Service, Virtual Library and other Key technologies in modern Information Society.
